Tobias Hess

Tobias Hess has more than 15 years of experience in the field of pharmaceutical and nutritional products, their development, production as well as application. Tobias is currently working as the Head of the Innovation & Application Development Group for Pharma and Nutrition at Chemische Fabrik Budenheim KG. In his position he’s responsible for the development of Budenheim’s pharma & nutrition product portfolio and the technical customer interaction. He and his team investigate novel mineral salts and their applications. Prior to working with Chemische Fabrik Budenheim KG, Tobias held senior roles at JRS Pharma and DFE Pharma – also in the fields of solid dosage forms. In July 2020 Tobias was appointed as “Member of Member of the Complex Excipients Expert Committee” of the United States Pharmacopeia. Tobias holds a Diploma in Chemistry of the University of Mainz as well as a PhD in medical chemistry from the Universities of Mainz and Zurich.
