Lena Leder

Lena Leder is currently working as the Nutrition Science Manager at Balchem in Oslo, Norway. She holds a PhD in Nutrition from the University of Oslo, where she specialized in clinical trials, fat quality in the diet, lipid metabolism, and cardiovascular disease. Lena earned her MSc in Nutrition Science from the University of Bonn, Germany.
Lena is passionate about nutrition and health, research and development. She has broad experience from academia, the food industry, and the nutraceutical industry, with a special focus on micronutrients, healthy dietary patterns, inflammation, and other cardiovascular risk markers. She is skilled in communication of research, and adding nutritional insight to innovation projects as well ass project management. Since 2021, she has been a board member of the Norwegian Nutrition Society, and in 2025, she joined the board of the Society for Applied Vitamin Research, contributing her expertise.
